Terms of service

The deal, in plain words.

Grip is a free beta run by one person. These terms are short because there isn’t much to hide.

Last updated 5 October 2026

1. Who you’re dealing with

Grip is provided by Villiam Bornström, Sweden (“we”). Contact: hello@gripcoach.app. By creating an account you agree to these terms and to the privacy notice.

2. What Grip is

An Android app and Home Screen widget that helps you plan, get reminded, and follow through, with an AI coach that can talk, set reminders, and adjust your plan. It is in beta: features change, things break, and it may be paused or withdrawn.

3. What Grip is not

Grip is not a medical device, a treatment for ADHD or anything else, or a substitute for a clinician. The coach is an AI model: it can be wrong, out of date, or unhelpful, and you should not rely on it for medical, legal, financial, or safety decisions. If you are in danger, contact local emergency services, not the app.

4. Your account

  • You must be at least 13 years old.
  • One account per person; keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • Access is by invitation during the beta. We may decline or revoke an invitation at any time.

5. Acceptable use

Don’t use Grip to harm others, to break the law, to attack or overload the service, or to extract or reverse-engineer the models behind it. Don’t upload material you don’t have the right to share. We may suspend accounts that do.

6. Your content

What you put into Grip stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it only as far as needed to run the service for you (see the privacy notice for exactly how). We never use it for advertising or to train our own models.

7. Price

Grip is free during the beta. It will not stay free: running the coach costs real money per person, so a paid plan is coming. Pricing has not been decided yet. You will be told well before that happens, and nothing you use today starts charging without your agreement.

8. Availability

We aim for the service to work, but during the beta we make no promise of uptime, of keeping any feature, or of keeping your data available forever. Export your data from Settings whenever you like.

9. Ending it

You can delete your account at any time in Settings or at the deletion page; everything goes, as described in the privacy notice. We may close accounts that break these terms, or close the beta altogether with reasonable notice.

10. Liability

Grip is provided as-is during the beta. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or for anything that follows from relying on the coach or on a reminder that did not fire. Nothing here limits the rights you have as a consumer under Swedish and EU law.

11. Law

Swedish law applies. Disputes go to the courts of Sweden, and as a consumer you can also use the EU’s online dispute resolution platform or your national consumer body.

12. Changes

If these terms change in a way that matters, you’ll see it in the app before it applies. Continuing to use Grip after that means you accept the new version.
