Questions

What is Grip?

Grip is an ADHD coach app for Android that brings together a daily planner, reminders, and an AI coach. Its Home Screen widget keeps your next activity visible and offers a small first step when starting feels difficult.

How is Grip different from a to-do list?

A to-do list records what you want to do. Grip also offers help getting started, checks in about how it went, and uses your feedback to adjust future support. You can organize one-off tasks, recurring routines, and longer-term goals in the same weekly plan.

Which phones does it run on?

Android 10 and newer. There is no iPhone version, because the widget on the Home Screen is the product, and Android is where that works the way Grip needs it to.

Is it on Google Play?

Not yet. Grip is in a private beta: you ask for access, and an install link arrives by email. The Play listing comes when the beta is done.

What does it cost?

Nothing during the beta. Running the coach costs real money per person, so Grip will become a paid app later, but pricing has not been decided yet. You’ll hear about it well before anything changes.

Do I need a watch?

No. Steps come from the phone. A watch through Health Connect adds sleep, heart rate and workouts. Nice for the coach, never required.

Is this a medical tool?

No. Grip is built by someone with ADHD for the daily structure part: plans, reminders, follow-through. It doesn’t diagnose, treat, or replace care, and the coach can be wrong.

Is my data sold?

Never, and never used for ads. The companies that process it on Grip’s behalf, and why, are listed in the privacy notice.

Does it work offline?

The widget and your plan do. Changes queue and sync when you’re back. The coach needs a connection to answer.
