Body doubling on your Home Screen

Many people with ADHD find it easier to work when someone else is working nearby. Grip puts a coach in a small room on your widget who gets to work when you do.

When you work, your coach works

When one of your tasks starts, your coach sits up at their laptop and stays there while it runs. It is a small thing, but a task feels less lonely when something on your screen is doing it with you.

Stuck on starting? Try just 10 minutes. The widget shows your coach working beside you, a clock counting down and three ways to end it: Done, Did some or Still stuck.

A day of their own

Between your tasks, your coach lives their own day in the room: getting ready, drawing, reading, browsing, winding down and sleeping. It follows the real time of day, so a glance at your Home Screen tells you roughly what time it is too.

Their things move on over the weeks. The book has chapters, and the painting fills in stage by stage. When a painting is finished, it arrives in your room as a package to hang wherever you like.

Tap to talk

Tap your coach and they turn to you. A short line appears above them, with a couple of replies you can tap back, and Open chat is always there if you want more.

What they talk about depends on what they are doing: your task when they are working, the book when they are reading, the painting when they are drawing. Tap again for the next topic.

Own time: whatever they are into this week

Never needy

Your coach never needs you. They do not get hungry, sad or lonely if you skip a day, and they never say they missed you. Coming back is never something to feel guilty about.

Good to know

Is the coach a real person?
No. It is a drawn character, and Grip never pretends otherwise. The useful part is the company and the accountability, not a relationship.
Can I have no coach at all?
Yes. Choose plain wording with no character. Every feature still works.
